These remarkable trees gained their name from the San practice of hollowing out the tubular branches to create quivers for their arrows. The sturdy, durable wood of the branches made them ideal for crafting arrow quivers, and thus, the trees became known as “quiver trees.”
This unique cultural association adds an extra layer of enchantment to these botanical wonders, infusing them with a rich historical significance that enhances their allure.
